How Do Classes Work?

About a month ago, I signed up for the classes I will take on the ship. The process was a bit challenging to see which ones would work with the requirements for the University of Colorado at Boulder. With the 600+ students signing up for classes all at the same time, I was still able to get my top choices.

A 1050-1205 Nutrition Around the World
A 1540-1655 Diverse Cultures in Mass Communication
B 1050-1205 Digital Media in an International Context
B 1250-1405 Organizational Behavior

We are only allowed to sign up for 12 credits now. Once we get on the ship, we have the opportunity to sign up for one additional class. I don't think I will take an additional class on the ship. I am just 28 credits away from graduating! I am looking forward to enjoying my time on the ship and taking advantage of all of the brilliant professors and opportunities available to me on the ship!

For classes, we have A days and B days. Since we get time off from classes while in port, we have classes everyday we are on the ship regardless of if it is the weekend or a holiday.

With each class, we have field labs (sorta like a field trip that is mandatory). As I understand it, the professor designs an in-country educational trip for each class they teach.

Next stop, order books! Hopefully, I will find online books so I don't have to lug around 10 books!

I'm not just sailing around the world, I also have to attend classes! But who am I to complain? I am about to embark on an adventure of a lifetime!
